LAPTOP Magazine to Recognize Top Mobile Gadgets at CES 2009
Groundbreaking devices, services, and applications will be honored with coveted Best of CES Award.

NEW YORK, NY – November 19, 2008: LAPTOP—Mobile Solutions for Business & Life, the leading mobile technology magazine and Web site, and a sponsor of the International Consumer Electronics Show 2009, today announced a call for submissions for its fifth annual Best of CES Awards.

LAPTOP's Best of CES Awards recognize the truly innovative gadgets, services, and applications announced each year at CES. Winners are the groundbreaking products that redefine their respective categories through the evolution of design, performance, and usability.

The Best of CES Awards will be given in the following categories:

Best Notebook

Best Notebook Accessory

Best Storage Device

Best Software

Best Cell Phone

Best Cell Phone Accessory

Best Portable Audio/Video Player

Best Digital Camera

Best Digital Camcorder

Best GPS Navigator

Best Wi-Fi/Home Networking Device

Best Wireless Home Entertainment Device

To submit a product, service or application to be considered for LAPTOP's Best of CES Awards, visit www.bedfordcommunications.com/awards/bestofces/submissionform and complete the submission form.

Products and/or services must be announced or shown for the first time in public during CES 2009 to be eligible. The deadline for submissions is 11:59PM ET on December 18, 2008. LAPTOP will honor nondisclosure agreements, which can be included in the submission process. Entries will be evaluated based on the submitted materials as well as the editors’ hands-on experience with the product at CES 2009.

All of LAPTOP's International CES 2009 coverage, which will include pre-show predictions, product blog posts, and hands-on videos from the show floor, as well as the Best of CES Awards, will be featured on www.laptopmag.com/ces, beginning December 15. Best of CES Award winners will be announced January 10, 2009.
