LAPTOP Magazine Announces Winners of its Best of Computex 2009 Awards
LAPTOP’s mobile tech experts select the top mobile innovations from Asia’s largest technology show.

NEW YORK, NY – June 5, 2009: LAPTOP—Mobile Solutions for Business & Life, tthe leading mobile technology magazine and Web site, today announced the winners of its Best of Computex 2009 Awards.

Scouring the show floor, LAPTOP offered hands-on reports and videos of the newest products being announced at Asia’s most important annual computing event, providing consumers and business users alike a glimpse of the newest mobile technologies--and those that are soon to be. Of the products announced or shown at Computex 2009, LAPTOP selected the top three for its first annual Best of Computex Awards. This year’s awards include categories for enabling technologies and notebooks, as well as a separate category for netbooks, in recognition of their increasing significance in the market.

The Best of Computex Award Winners:

• Best Enabling Technology: Pixel Qi 3qi Screen – The low-power, high-contrast screen technology, developed by one of the masterminds behind the OLPC XO, should dramatically increase notebook battery life and outdoor readability when it starts appearing in mainstream systems later this year.
