These awards honor products that not only represent a breakthrough for mobile technology, but also fundamentally change the way people work and play on the move. Products were selected from the following categories: Notebooks, Cell Phones, Handhelds, Wi-Fi, Imaging, and Entertainment. The winners will be featured in the cover story of the October issue, on sale September 14, 2004.

Selected by LAPTOP's editorial team, the Mobile Innovation Award Winners are being honored for pushing their respective product categories forward, both in terms of design and functionality. “There are plenty of great mobile products out there, but only a handful that reinvent the way we stay connected and entertained on the go,” said editor in chief Mark Spoonauer. “LAPTOP is pleased to honor those companies whose hard work and ingenuity has reaped rewards for our readers.”
