New York, NY – July 7, 2004 – Bedford Communications’
LAPTOP Magazine posts year-to-date increases in ad pages, according to
Tech Media Monthly, Volume 1 No. 6, released June 12, 2004.
Tech Media Monthly tracks the ad pages of 47 technology
magazines. LAPTOP showed the largest ad page increase in the consumer
technology magazines category, with a 20.2 percent increase on a year-to-date
basis through the May 2004 issue. The total year-to-date increase of all
of the consumer technology magazines measured was 4.9%, which is a testament
to LAPTOP’s position as a leader in its field.
“I’m very pleased with LAPTOP’s consistent increase in
ad pages. We have broadened the editorial content over the past year, which
appeals to new categories of business, and the majority of our advertisers
come back month after month, which is a solid indication that our clients
find LAPTOP to be a valuable marketing tool,” says Associate Publisher Carol Berman.
This latest news comes on the heels of many significant
accomplishments at LAPTOP, including a 16% increase in circulation and 30%
increase in magazine book size. In 2003 LAPTOP was one of only two ABC-audited
computer magazines to show newsstand growth.
