

Edward D. Brown, President and Publisher
Edward D. Brown, publisher and president of Bedford Communications, has over 30 years of experience in the publishing industry. He began his career at book publisher Simon & Schuster, and has experience in publishing hardcover and paperback books as well as guides and magazines. Mr. Brown has published and packaged hardcover main selections for specialty book clubs including Field & Stream, Popular Science, Better Homes and Gardens and Columbia House.
For the last 25 years he has been a pioneer in the publication of several well-respected titles. His current titles cover a wide range of tech topics concerning mobile computing, communications, and entertainment.
Mr. Brown is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University.
Carol A. Berman, Associate Publisher
With 25 years experience in special-interest magazine publishing, Carol Berman oversees and is involved in planning strategy and execution of Bedford operations, including advertising growth, editorial direction, Internet presence, and marketing partnerships. She also manages advertising sales of the New York Metro area and other key accounts and is a stockholder in the company.
Ms. Berman joined Bedford Communications in 1992 as Regional Advertising Manager, was promoted to Director of Advertising in 1994, and became Associate Publisher in 1997. She was instrumental in securing new business from advertisers such as IBM, Compaq, and Sharp, which significantly helped to propel Bedford's success and the growth of LAPTOP.
Prior to joining Bedford, Ms. Berman spent four years as Account Executive at Audio, Stereo Review, Car Stereo Review, Sound & Image, and Stereo Review Buyer's Guides for the Consumer Electronics Group of Hachette Magazines, Inc. She was previously Supervisor of Advertising Services in the Corporate Finance Department at Hachette, helping to manage all financial aspects of that Company's 18 publications.
Ms. Berman is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.
